They're looking for a top-notch, passionate Sr Software Engineer to be part of their world-class R&D team. They're an advertising technology company that ingests roughly 1 billion (1000M) ad impressions per day into a processing system that derives performance metrics for their clients. As part of this role, the candidate will need to understand and analyze the architecture and performance of heavy-usage applications, including gaining a deep understanding of the business workflows behind them. The next step after understanding the scope of the challenge will be to design, build (hands-on), test, and deploy the suggested solution to production. All of this is done in a continuous development and deployment environment. The candidate will then need to guide and help developers across multiple teams adopt the solution. If they're able to handle a wide range of technologies, play and lead an important role in the design and analysis of software projects, create new applications or improve existing ones, evaluate application technologies, develop product prototypes, and implement them across different parts of the product, they're encouraged to get in touch.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Design and implement major aspects of the architecture of applications, including components such as infrastructure, backbone services and user interface
- Lead by example the development of modules for a high-end product that processes over 1 billion transactions a day
- Architect and evolve systems for high-throughput data ingestion and processing, handling several hundred gigabytes of data daily
- Design and develop viable solutions for various systems and architectures to different types of business aspects
- Deploy your solutions to production in a continuous manner
- Be responsible for the well-being of applications in production
- Work with R&D managers to define, prioritize and finalize development standards
- Oversee the Design Process for Application Software
- Provide technical training, support, and training to R&D developers
Requisitos
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor in computer science or a related discipline (must)
- 3+ years with demonstrated large-scale system experience (5+ years preferred)
- Experience processing large volumes of data in production systems
- Advanced English proficiency (+B2/C1)
- Solid understanding of load distribution, data storage strategies, and system architecture at scale
- Strong analytical, creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Understanding of design and production procedures and standards to create prototypes and finished products
- Experience with large scale performance issues
- Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MongoDB (plus)
- Experience with dataframes, map-reduce, Spark, Pandas, Polars (plus)
- Experience with workflow management tools like Argo/Airflow (plus)
- Experience in Python, TypeScript (React and Node.js) (plus)
- Experience with web server or client side development (plus)
- Must have a passion for technology and quality
- Good analytical and communication skills
